How do I login to my Windows VPS? How do I use RDP?

A Short Guide Explaining you How to connect to your Poweruphosting VPS using Remote Desktop Connection:

After you make a successful purchase, you will be sent with the a login ID, password and IP address. These are very crucial credentials to have a successful connection.

Step 1: Open Remote Desktop Connection.

Remote Desktop Connection is an pre installed application that comes with your Windows and MAC Operating System. If for some reason you don't have these pre-installed, you can download them from the follow link:

You can access your Remote Desktop Connection by going to Start --> Programs --> Accessories --> Remote Desktop Connection.

If you are using Windows 7 or Vista, you can take advantage of the live search feature, Start --> Type in Remote Desktop Connection in the search

 

Step 2: Setting Up and Connecting to the Server.

Once you click on Remote Desktop connection, a small window will pop up where it would ask for your login credentials. Enter your IP address allocated to you.

Now another screen will followup where it would ask you to enter your login credentials. Enter your details correctly.

After a successful login, another screen will followup where it would ask you to accept the certificate. Click on YES

 

If everything is perfectly done as mentioned in the guide, you will successfully login to your VPS
